28 Weeks

How Far Along: 28 Weeks
Size of baby: Mason now weighs 2 ¼ pounds. He's almost 15 inches long from head to heel!
Weight Gain/Loss: 14 pounds
Maternity Clothes: All maternity pants now and mostly maternity shirts. I love my maternity clothes so much. They are very comfy and cute! I did discover this weekend that I can still button a pair of my stretch non-maternity pants. However I found out pretty fast that just because I could button them did not make them comfortable or suitable for wearing all day. Sitting down with them on was downright painful ;-)
Gender: It's a BOY!! Mason Carter Mitchell
Movement: Mason is moving more and more each day. His kicks and jabs have gotten a lot stronger. You can easily see him moving from the outside. I was able to catch it on camera this week.
Food Cravings: I could still eat french fries with every meal. But, if you know me I’ve always been this way! I love french fries!! So, I’m not sure if we can really call it a “pregnancy craving”. I also could eat spaghetti several times a week!
What I miss: The only thing I can think that I miss right now is sleeping on my back.
Sleep: My hips become very sore after a few hours of sleep. I have to switch the side I’m laying on about once an hour. I also had a strange dream them week. I dreamed that Mason was pushing out on my belly and you could make out the shape of his hand, foot, and face.
Symptoms: This week it is becoming evident that I can’t do as much physically. Housework like vacuuming, folding laundry and washing dishes really take a toll on my back and stomach muscles. I’m learning to work and little and then rest a little. I’m also having some Braxton Hick’s contractions. I usually have them in the evenings, especially when I’ve been more active during the day.
Best Moment this week: Mason’s bedding will be here this week! This will make his room almost complete! After the bedding we just need the changing pad. Mom and I also went this weekend and registered for all the goodies we’ll need for Mason. I expected this to be an overwhelming experience, but it went really smooth. I’m so glad Mom was willing to go along, she was a BIG help.
What I am looking forward to: Putting Mason’s bedding in his crib!

I think this shirt makes it hard to see the real size of my "summy", maybe this picture is better...
