27 Weeks

How Far Along: 27 Weeks
Size of baby: Mason now weighs almost 2 pounds. He's about 14 ½  inches long from head to heel!
Weight Gain/Loss: 13 pounds
Maternity Clothes: All maternity pants now and mostly maternity shirts. I love my maternity clothes so much. They are very comfy and cute!
Gender: It's a BOY!! Mason Carter Mitchell
Movement: Mason is moving a lot these days. In addition to sticking things out of my belly, I can also really feel him roll around now. It is such a neat feeling to feel him re-adjusting in there. I can also feel when his head, butt or back are on the outside of my tummy. This shows me that he has really gotten bigger in the last few weeks. I really wish there was a little window in my belly so I could look in and see what he’s up to!
Food Cravings: I could still eat french fries with every meal. But, if you know me I’ve always been this way! I love french fries!! So, I’m not sure if we can really call it a “pregnancy craving”.
What I miss: The only thing I can think that I miss right now is sleeping on my back.
Sleep: I'm having more trouble getting comfortable while sleeping. Since I'm just sleeping on my side, my hips get very sore after I lay on one side for a while. I can only sleep on one side for about an hour, then my hips get too sore and I have to change to the other side. I still end up on my back sometimes on accident. Scotty is usually the one to wake me up and tell me to roll over. No crazy dreams in a while.
Symptoms: Mostly just being uncomfortable while sleeping. I’m really feeling very good these days and I’m able to enjoy being pregnant.
Best Moment this week: I’ll have an appointment this Wednesday 1/12. I always look forward to hearing Mason’s heartbeat! However, I’m also having my glucose test this week and I’m not looking forward to that so much.
What I am looking forward to: I expect Mason’s bedding to come in the mail anytime now. I can’t wait to put it in his crib. That will complete his room!
