How Far Along: 39 Weeks according to my calculations & 40 weeks according to Due Date of April 5th.
Size of baby: Mason weighs about 7 pounds. He's about 20 inches long from head to heel!
Weight Gain/Loss: 21 pounds. Not much change in my weight these last few weeks. I actually lost 3 pounds last week, according to the Doctor’s office.
Maternity Clothes: All maternity clothes now.
Gender: It's a BOY!! Mason Carter Mitchell
Movement: Mason doesn’t have a lot of room to move. I mostly just feel his feet kicking on my left side. Scotty and Mason were “playing” last night. Scotty had has arm resting on my side and Mason was moving A LOT and kicking pretty hard. I finally couldn’t take it anymore and made Scotty move his arm. It was fun while it lasted ;-)
Food Cravings: Not quite as crazy about french fries, but I think I could eat spaghetti almost every day.
What I miss: Sleeping on my back or just being able to sleep comfortably for more than an hour or 2. I also miss being able to comfortably bathe and shave my legs, it’s near impossible to wash my legs or feet and shaving isn’t any easier.
Sleep: Still uncomfortable and interrupted too much by trips to the bathroom, position changes. My acid reflux has actually improved over the last week or so. Maybe it’s because he’s moving down and not interrupting my digestion as much.
Symptoms: A few Braxton Hicks contractions and muscle soreness in my upper abdomen. I’ve started to feel soreness and pressure in between my legs.
Best Moment this week: Well, I’m ahead of the game again and getting this done on Monday, so nothing special has happened yet. Maybe I’ll go back and add the details of my Doctor’s appointment on Wednesday.
What I am looking forward to: I’m looking forward to Mason being here, and for this waiting game to be over with. I’m also really looking forward to some time off work to just enjoy Mason in his newborn sweetness. Right now the plan is to schedule to be induced on Wednesday April 13th. Maybe I’ll luck out and he’ll come before then on his own. I would rather not be induced if we can help it.
